Challenges

HOFOR, a Danish supplier of water, heating, and gas serving around 1,300 clients in the Copenhagen region, depended heavily on an efficient IT system. However, they faced challenges due to slow processes, long delivery times, and a previous collaboration with a supplier that didn’t meet their expectations.

“There was too much distance between us and our old provider. We did not have the same expectations for cooperation and there was not enough attention to our needs. There were just too many mistakes and too long delivery times,” explained Peter Tvermoes, Department Head – IT Support.

Solution

In 2013, HOFOR switched to SoftwareCentral after a colleague recommended it. The new partnership focused on resolving past issues quickly, improving communication, and bringing many IT operations back in-house. This change allowed HOFOR to better control resource allocation and improve the quality of IT services.

As Peter Tvermoes noted, “It was not long before we agreed that the issues need to be resolved as quickly as possible.”
